Canada has always actively encouraged skilled immigration, but then it has much benefited also from it. In fact, among all the nations of the world, which are high up in the list of immigration, it is Canada, which has gained the most -- thanks to the concept of skilled migration. Though the entire country has much drawn benefits due to this, the Canadian province of British Columbia -- which is much famous for its amazing natural beauty – has, perhaps, been the luckiest one.

This has been possible via the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) British Columbia, which was introduced way back in 2001. An independent report of evaluation released sometime back suggests that the benefits of the British Columbia program have been amazing for the province. Between 2005 and mid-2010, as many as 203 businessmen -- who were handed over the status of permanent residency via the said program – have pumped in more than $423 million into the province, and also introduced as many as 1,100 jobs for the BC.

Many people hoping to immigrate to this particular province of Canada submit an application via Citizenship and Immigration Canada under the fast-tracked class of provincial nominee. This is a lot faster vis-a-vis submitting an application via several federal immigration categories. An independent report of evaluation released sometime back suggests that the benefits of the said program have been amazing. Between 2005 and mid-2010, as many as 203 businessmen -- who were handed over the status of permanent residency via the said program -- pumped in more than $423 million into the province, and also introduced as many as 1,100 jobs.

The report in question also says that almost 93% of business entrepreneurs covered for the evaluation report were still staying in the province, and three fourth of such people had even gone to the extent of buying homes there. Besides, as many as 10,000 workers nominated for the status of permanent residency were engaged by more than 4,600 employers across the province. And they successfully met a fast growing demand for skilled workers across several domains, such as healthcare, construction, besides manufacturing.

It needs mentioning that those granted the status of permanent residency under the Provincial Nominee Program are the finest from their respective domains and have immigrated to the province from across the world. They have turned up from many nations, including the U.K, China, the Philippines, India, Korea and several more.
These professionals have boosted the diversity of the region and introduced their unique job-creating investment ideas, their skills and their expertise into the province. No wonder, it is rightly said that British Columbia of Canada has much benefited from the fast tracking of immigration, particularly involving the skilled workers.
